Features

Steamless structure not to let steam out

The steam-catcher structure* that allows steam to turn into water droplets and return into the water boiler, preventing steam from being let out.
The structure eliminates the risk of getting scalded by accidental exposure to hot steam.

*Mechanism of the steam-catcher structure

[1] The steamless feature sensor to detect boiling water is incorporated.
The generation of steam when water boils is detected immediately to minimize further creating steam needlessly.

[2] The steam generated during boiling enters from the draw-in entrance and is caught in the steam catcher incorporated into the lid.

[3] The steam is cooled while passing through the cooling passage in the steam catcher.

[4] The cooled steam condenses and turns into water droplets, and then returns into the inner container through the passage.

The structure prevents steam from being let out.
This structure does not require additional operation or maintenance to enable the steamless feature.

“Tokuko-san” that keeps water warm with vacuum insulation provides the most energy-saving solution

The annual electricity cost can be reduced by approx. 6,500 yen, compared with our other microcomputer electric water heater!*1
The power-saving VE insulation is an economical method of keeping water warm using electric heating and the high-vacuum, double-walled bottle. VE is an abbreviation of vacuum electric.

New insulation structure

Tiger’s proprietary double-walled vacuum structure

The high-vacuum, double-walled bottle (VE bottle structure/stainless steel) container has a reliable structure that allows the hot water inside to be kept warm even after the kettle is switched off.
The hot water is kept at about at least 90°C even 3 hours after the product is unplugged!*2

*1 Compared with our previous microcomputer electric water heater (PDR-G301 series made in 2016) PIG-J300: Approx. 5,400 yen, PDR-G-301: Approx. 11,900 yen
Measurement based on the voluntary standard of the Japan Electrical Manufacturers’ Association (JEMA) (at room temperature of 23°C, boiling water twice per day and reboiling water once per day and keeping water warm at 90°C for 23 hours a day for 365 days a year; the other test conditions including water volume are based on the voluntary standard of JEMA HD-112), calculated based on the estimated electric utility rate of 27 yen/kWh (including tax). Electricity cost and power consumption per day may vary depending on the conditions such as ambient temperature in each season.
*2 The hot water in the product gets cold as time passes after it is unplugged.

The water boiler automatically measures water volume (only for electric-powered dispensing)

The indicated level is the estimated volume of water dispensed. The estimated volume of water dispensed is indicated, making it convenient for preparing ingredients or cooking convenience food.

*The photo shows the indication when about 170 mL of hot water is dispensed.
There may be some error depending on the volume of water to be dispensed or the way of pouring.

Hot water measuring function

Always save electricity in a smart way

Power-saving

Consuming 0.0 W ★ power in standby

[1] Keeping warm with vacuum insulation course

The boiled water is kept warm by the insulation of the stainless-steel, double-walled, vacuum structure without using electricity.

★This indicates 0.0 W of the standby power consumption measured based on the voluntary standard of the Japan Electrical Manufacturers’ Association (JEMA).

[2] Selection of temperatures for keeping warm

Water temperature can be adjusted to the desired one.The temperature settings of 98, 90, and 80 for keeping warm
There are five settings of 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 hours.

[3] Power-saving timer

The power-saving timer settings are offered, and you can choose one depending on the time of day when you do not use the product, when you are out, or before you go to bed.

[4] Power-saving Eco course to save electricity in boiling and keeping warm

■Power saving boiling
The heater is turned off before water boils and the water is kept warm.

*The water temperature at the end of boiling is about 98°C.

■Power-saving heat retention
If the product is not used for at least 2 hours, the temperature of the hot water inside is automatically maintained at 5 degrees below the set temperature to save electricity while keeping the water hot.

Easy-to-use convenient function

Cordless air dispensing

This feature allows you to use hot water anywhere even if there is no power source.

Air dispensing

Two-level dispense volume selection, large volume & slow dispensing

You can change the dispensing speed by operating the dispense volume selection key that doubles as an unlock key. (Electric-powered dispensing)

Slow dispensing
[Slow dispensing]
For making an instant cup of soup, etc.
Large-volume dispensing
[Large-volume dispensing]
For cooking such as boiling food

Kitchen timer function

This function is convenient to use as a guide for boiling pasta.

Kitchen timer

Water level gauge with a wide panel and red ball to clearly show the remaining hot water level

The gauge allows you to easily see the remaining water volume.

Water level gauge

Other safety functions

“Prevention of empty burning”

The water boiler detects when it boils dry and shuts off automatically.

“Electric-powered dispensing with auto-lock function”

The water boiler is automatically locked a while after dispensing.
(Air dispensing is manually operated)

“Tilt lock function”*1

Hot water spillage is minimized if the kettle is tilted.

“Lock function”

Hot water spillage is minimized if the kettle tips over.

*1 Note
“For electric-powered dispensing” Even when the operation keys are in the locked state (dispensing function is disabled), tilting or tipping over the main body may cause hot water to come out from the spout or steam vent, resulting in a scald.
“For air dispensing” Even when the dispense button stopper is in the locked state (dispensing function is disabled), tilting or tipping over the main body may cause the hot water to come out from the spout or steam vent, resulting in a scald.
