Carbon dioxide release mechanism

The carbon dioxide release mechanism keeps carbon dioxide contained tightly in the bottle
when the cap is closed during normal use.
It allows carbon dioxide to drain first when the cap is opened,
preventing the drink inside from erupting or exploding, and helping you open the cap easily.

Safety valve mechanism

The “safety valve” works so that the carbon dioxide inside the bottle can be automatically released
when pressure inside the bottle rises to an abnormally high level,
such as when the bottle gets hot because it is left in a car in midsummer.
This mechanism prevents the cap from flying off or the contents of the bottle from erupting.

The first time was in 2018, when a JAXA’s small re-entry capsule carrying supplies from the International Space Station (ISS) returned to space. Tiger Corporation was in charge of the development of the double vacuum insulation container inside the capsule. It stored valuable space experiment samples, such as protein chamber crystals in cold storage. It withstood the impact of the capsule landing on the ocean and kept the samples stored along with refrigerant on the ISS at 4°C for five days and 15 hours.
The second time was in 2021, when Tiger Corporation’s technology entered space once again. Dragon CRS-22, a SpaceX spacecraft, was launched with a double vacuum-insulated, heat retaining transport container on board. Three new requirements were set. The container must be able to maintain temperatures for long periods of time, have a reduced size, and be reusable. The result was a container that was even lighter and more compact than the previous one and was able to maintain temperatures at 20±2°C for 15 days and 7 hours.
It is currently put to use multiple times a year to transport goods between Earth and space.

Tiger Corporations’ heat and low-temperature insulation technologies are also used in a wide range of other fields, such as medicine, housing, and industry.
