Tiger Corporation (President: Yoshisato Kikuchi, Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka) (“Tiger” or “we”), a world leader in thermal control technology, will release a product made in collaboration with Ocean Crayons, the MCS-A50J Vacuum Insulated Bottle (for cold drinks only) on August 21 (Mon), 2023.
This limited quantity product will only be available on Tiger’s online store. Ocean Crayons are crayons inspired by the colors of the earth seen in photographs from space released by SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (President and Representative Director: Eiichi Yonekura, Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo), the first private Japanese company to launch a satellite. The collaboration was made possible because our companies share the same desire to deliver the rich colors of the earth embodied by the Ocean Crayons to many people as possible. We also share a common desire for the expansion of the space industry, as we manufacture vacuum insulated containers for the collection of space experiment samples from the International Space Station. We have developed a lineup of Vacuum Insulated Bottles featuring 5 of the 12 Ocean Crayon colors. Take your favorite ocean color everywhere you go.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the MCS-A50J Vacuum Insulated Bottles (for cold drinks only) will be donated to the Republic of Kiribati for use as a natural disaster fund in the face of rising sea levels.

Carry your favorite ocean color
(1) Ocean Crayon Collaboration Design
Inspired by the actual colors of the earth captured in photographs taken from space, Ocean Crayons were created in the hopes that it will allow users to learn about and play with the colors of the earth so that their love for the earth will grow.
These twelve colors were selected from satellite photos of the earth. They don’t have names, but they do have a reason. Our new Vacuum Insulated Bottles were inspired by five of these colors.

Hygienic bottle that prevents stains and odors from sticking
(2) Stainless-steel straw
These bottles are equipped with stainless-steel straws that can be used hygienically. They allow you to drink your beverage easily without tilting the bottle very far. Compared to plastic straws, stains and odors are less able to stick to these durable straws, making them last longer.
You can drink the contents easily without bending your neck or tilting the bottle greatly.

The stainless-steel straw can be washed in water and kept hygienic.
Using an antibacterial stoper and Super Clean Plus
(3) Tiger’s proprietary BioGuard hygiene design
The MCS-A series uses Tiger’s proprietary BioGuard hygiene design, which features a Super Clean Plus finish on the inner surface and an antibacterial lid, stopper, and stopper cover.

The SIAA-certified plug with an antibacterial finish satisfies the three criteria of antimicrobial properties that prevent the growth of bacteria, safety that meets the uniquely established safety criteria, and appropriate labeling about the antibacterial finish or materials used.

The SIAA marks are symbols for antibacterial properties established by the Society of International Sustaining Growth for Antimicrobial Articles.
Products that meet the three criteria of [1] antimicrobial properties (*1), [2] safety (*2) and [3] appropriate labeling (*3) may carry the SIAA mark.
(*1) The proportion of bacteria on the surface of the product must be equal to or less than 1/100 that of a non-treated product, and the antimicrobial effect must remain after durability tests. Antimicrobial properties are determined from the results of tests conducted in accordance with the international standard ISO 22196.
(*2) The safety criteria uniquely established by SIAA must be met.
(*3) The types of antibacterial agents used and parts treated must be clearly indicated.
Super Clean Plus finish to resist stains, odors, and rust
The inner surface of the bottle does not use an environmentally hazardous fluorine coating. Instead, it is made with our proprietary Super Clean Plus electrolytic polishing technology to achieve the same level of stain resistance. The smooth, glossy finish prevents stains and odors, allowing the bottle to be kept clean with a quick wash.
The surface is also resistant to rusting, allowing you to put a sports drink in the bottle. (Clean the bottle immediately after use.)
