Season the beef with salt and pepper.
Cut the onion into wedges (8 pieces), the carrot into bite-sized pieces, and the potato into larger bite-sized pieces.
Add 1, 2, red wine, water, and bouillon granules to the inner pot. Place it in the main unit and close the lid.
Select “Manual: Slow,High”, set the cooking time to 3 hours, then press “START/SET”.
Once cooking is complete, open the lid. Press “Cancel”, add the curry roux and butter, melt them, then close the lid.
Select “Manual: Warm,Medium”, set the heating time to 5 minutes, then press “START/SET”.
When done, mix everything together and serve in bowls.
When preparing ingredients by stir-frying first, select “Manual: Sauté, High, 10 min”, then add meat followed by vegetables and stir-fry. After stir-frying, add red wine, water, and Western-style soup base, then select “Manual: Slow, High, 180 min” and heat.
You can also make half the amount.
