Steamless electric kettle
Safe and secure, steamless electric kettle that prevents steam from being let out
The electric kettle adopts the steam-catcher structure. The Wakuko kettle has no steam vent. The steam-catcher structure allows steam to turn into water droplets which will come out when the hot water is poured from the kettle, so that no steam is let out from the main body.
(*A small amount of steam may be released from the spout if water is boiled when the main body is warm.)

Since steam is not let out, there is no risk of getting scalded by the hot steam emitted from the steam port.
[ No condensation ]
As worries about the condensation of steam are eliminated, you can have freedom of choice with where to put the product.
[ Mechanism of the steam-catcher structure ]
- The new structure to detect boiling water has been developed. The steam generated when water boils is detected immediately to control the amount of steam to a low level so that steam is not generated needlessly.
- The steam generated during boiling enters from the draw-in entrance and is caught in the steam catcher incorporated into the lid.
- The steam is cooled while passing through the cooling passage in the steam catcher.
The structure prevents steam from being let out.
This structure does not require additional operation or maintenance to enable the steamless feature.

The kettle boils a cup of water (140 mL) quickly in just approx. 45 seconds, which is the time taken after the switch is turned on before it finishes boiling automatically.

Power-saving boiling
A reduction by about 22% * in power consumed to boil water has been achieved
The product can save electricity by about 22% to boil a cup of water (approx. 140 mL). It quickly detects boiling water to prevent inefficient heating when you want to boil a small amount of water quickly.

Steamless boiling
The steam-catcher structure is incorporated into the lid. The structure eliminates the risk of getting scalded by hot steam emitted from the steam port.
Lock function structure *
The kettle has a structure that minimizes any spilled hot water if the kettle tips over.
*Even when the dispense lock button is in the locked state, tilting or tipping over the main body may cause hot water to come out from the spout, resulting in a scald.
Double-wall structure that prevents the main body from getting hot easily and keeps drinks hot effectively
The double-wall structure composed of a stainless-steel inner container and steel-sheet casing body is designed to prevent the main body from getting hot. This also helps the kettle retain heat effectively and thereby prevents the boiled water from getting cold quickly.
(The boiled water is kept at about 82°C even after a lapse of 1 hour. When the maximum volume of water is kept hot with the PCH-G080 series)
Auto shut off after boiling
When the water boils, the switch is automatically turned off, shutting off the power.
Prevention of empty burning
The kettle detects when it boils dry and shuts off automatically.
Dispense lock button to open and close the lid with a single motion
Just press the dispense lock button to pour water. You can handle the kettle easily with one hand. Setting the dispense lock button in the locked state prevents the hot water from coming out from the spout even if the kettle accidentally tips over.

Winning the Kids Design Award
The PCH-G series won the 7th Kids Design Award “Excellence Award (METI Minister’s Award)” for the highly evaluated safety of Tiger’s electric kettle.
The consideration for safety by equipping the kettle with the advanced lock function and steamless structure was highly evaluated.
The product was rated high also in terms of globalization of kids design because Japan has been working on safety measures ahead of other countries in the world.
