TIGER Corporation at CEATEC 2026
CEATEC is a premier exhibition hosted by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA). As one of Japan’s largest comprehensive digital innovation events, it draws over 800 exhibiting companies and organizations and nearly 100,000 visitors (based on 2025 results). Transcending industry boundaries, innovative entities gather here under the vision of “Innovation for all” to generate new co-creations, aiming to balance the resolution of social issues with economic development.
At the Tiger Corporation booth, we will proudly display our newly launching IoT rice cooker, the Pressure Induction Heating Rice Cookers 〈炊きたて〉 JPA-S100. We will present a new form of monitoring through dining that transforms “cold digital data” into “warm communication of family care.”

The Growing Demand for Monitoring Services and the Barriers Ahead
According to a Cabinet Office survey, the number of “single-person households” among households with individuals aged 65 and over reached a record high of 9.3 million in 2025 (1). Meanwhile, community welfare commissioners—key local guardians—are facing a shortage of approximately 20,000 personnel (2). Despite the growing demand for monitoring services, relying solely on public support has become increasingly difficult. The JPA-S100 was developed to bridge this gap by transforming the daily routine of “cooking rice” into a subtle yet reliable indicator for confirming a loved one’s safety.

Solutions Provided by Tiger’s IoT Rice Cooker
- Monitoring that Blends into Everyday Life
The habitual act of “cooking rice” directly translates into monitoring data. No complicated device operations are required. Outstanding cooking performance and easy Maintenance encourage daily use, naturally leading to continuous data accumulation without the intrusive feeling of being watched by a camera. - Visualizing and Notifying Meal Rhythms
Rice cooking times and quantities are automatically recorded as data. This transforms anxiety (“Are they eating properly today?”) into peace of mind, allowing families to quickly notice any unusual changes in daily rhythms. - Cross-Industry System Integration
The product utilizes the “ECHONET Web API” (*3), a standard specification for promoting smart cities, enabling smooth connections with diverse systems from other companies and local governments. In the future, this will allow integration with health management apps in the medical industry and the construction of broader monitoring networks in cooperation with local municipalities.
[Case Study in Social Implementation] EDION Smart App Integration & “Oyakoko Mimamori Pack”
As a collaborative showcase utilizing the exhibited Pressure Induction Heating Rice Cookers 〈炊きたて〉 JPA-S100, we are introducing a new integration with the EDION Smart App to offer the “Oyakoko Mimamori Pack.”
This service is a co-creation model designed from the earliest development stages to solve shared social issues, transcending the boundaries between manufacturer and mass retailer. We combined EDION’s strength in “gifting home appliances to parents,” supported by their extensive store network and face-to-face assistance, with Tiger’s “daily touchpoint of cooking rice.” This approach simultaneously breaks down two major barriers to adopting IoT devices in elderly households: the “hassle of complex initial setup” and the “psychological burden of surveillance” caused by installing cameras, thereby realizing a socially implemented monitoring system that anyone can effortlessly sustain.
Note: Since this involves a communication line contract, sales are limited to face-to-face transactions at participating EDION stores.

Features of the EDION Smart App Integration and “Oyakoko Mimamori Pack”
- Multi-Faceted “Surface” Monitoring
By linking with the EDION Smart App, families can monitor the usage of other home appliances, such as air conditioners and washing machines, in addition to the rice cooker. It also includes a health status questionnaire feature, allowing families to keep a comprehensive, multi-faceted eye on daily physical conditions.
EDION Smart App Website:
https://smartapp.edion.com/index.html - No Complicated Initial Setup Required
The “Oyakoko Mimamori Pack” bundles the rice cooker and a communication device (mobile router) for sale and delivery. Specialized staff visit the home to handle the connection setup between the rice cooker and the router, as well as email notification settings for family members. This ensures that households without an internet environment or those uneasy about technical setups can start using the service with complete peace of mind.
Future Outlook
To build a phase-free social infrastructure that serves both everyday “monitoring” and emergency “disaster prevention,” Tiger Corporation will proactively leverage its IoT technology. We are committed to continuing our co-creation efforts with enterprises and local governments to forge next-generation services and generate new value.
