Tiger Corporation (CEO: Yoshisato Kikuchi, Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka), a global leader in thermal control technology, is thrilled to announce a special collaboration with ABC Cooking Studio Co., Ltd. (President: Kensuke Hayashi, Headquarters: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), which boasts approximately 1.73 million members worldwide. Together, we are launching an exclusive hands-on experience at participating studios nationwide, allowing guests to taste authentic clay pot rice cooked in our 20th-anniversary flagship model, the Ceramic Pot Pressure Induction Heating Rice Cookers<炊きたて>土鍋ご泡火炊き JRT-A100.

Rice cooked in a traditional clay pot (Donabe) possesses an exceptionally rich flavor. It delivers a plump Texture: Delicious Fresh, bringing out deep sweetness and umami. However, mastering the delicate heat control has historically made this restaurant-quality taste difficult to achieve at home. In 2006, Tiger became the first in the industry to incorporate a genuine ceramic pot into our rice cookers. Over the past 20 years, we have refined our thermal control technology to perfectly replicate the intricate heat adjustments of a high-end Japanese Ryotei (traditional restaurant). The culmination of this dedication is our 20th-anniversary model, the JRT-A100, officially launched in June 2026.
To celebrate two decades of Ceramic Pot Pressure Induction Heating Rice Cookers, we are initiating the “20th Anniversary Ceramic Pot Rice Cooker Project” to share the joy of authentic Donabe rice with an even wider audience. As part of this experiential project, our tie-up with ABC Cooking Studio provides a welcoming, real-world setting to fully enjoy the exceptional taste delivered by our flagship model.

Product Information
The Ceramic Pot Pressure Induction Heating Rice Cookers<炊きたて>土鍋ご泡火炊き JRT-A100 is our new flagship model—a crystallization of 20 years of relentless evolution. Since launching the industry’s first ceramic pot rice cooker two decades ago, we have worked hand-in-hand with artisans who inherit the traditional techniques of Banko-yaki pottery to perfect the ceramic pot. This 20th-year “ultimate conclusion of the ceramic pot” is the culmination of traditional Banko-yaki craftsmanship combined with the advanced thermal control technology cultivated by Tiger Corporation. We are proud to deliver the deeply moving, restaurant-quality taste of Donabe rice right to your everyday dining table.

A History of Challenge and Craftsmanship
The history of our Ceramic Pot Pressure Induction Heating Rice Cookers began in 2006 with the bold challenge of introducing an Authentic Donabe as the inner pot—an industry first. Walking alongside the dedicated artisans of Yokkaichi Banko-yaki, a traditional craft of Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, we proudly celebrate our 20th anniversary this year.

Newly Developed “Umami Convection Shape” for Ideal Heat Flow and the Updated “Ripple Shape” for Powerful Agitation
In this flagship product, we have newly developed the “Umami Convection Shape,” meticulously varying the thickness of the ceramic pot. This precise design generates an ideal thermal convection that agitates the rice in multiple directions within the pot, transmitting heat evenly to cook every grain to perfection.
Furthermore, we applied a newly updated “Ripple Shape” to the bottom of the ceramic pot with optimized pitch spacing. This generates a vigorous, multi-directional boiling convection that envelops each individual grain of rice with intense heat. The far-infrared effect unique to the ceramic pot, combined with the “swell of heat” produced by this carefully calculated new shape, supports a cooking performance truly worthy of our 20th-anniversary masterpiece.

Masterful “Torobi (Simmering) IH Control” Reproduces the Temperature Control of a High-End Ryotei
To bring out an even richer sweetness, we combined the exceptional far-infrared and heat-retention properties inherent to the ceramic pot with the 300ºC double-layer IH structure *1 and our masterful “Torobi (Simmering) IH Control” for delicate heat adjustments. This advanced control, seamlessly balancing tremendous heat with exceptionally low heat, slowly breaks down the starch in the rice to extract its natural sweetness. The result is an approximate 19% increase *2 in sweetness, delivering an intensely flavorful taste and the ideal sticky texture.
*1 Temperature reaches approximately 300°C in the JRT-A100. Measured on the outside bottom of the inner pot when cooking 4 cups (Go) on the “White Rice” menu, “Firm” texture setting, and “High” heat setting. (According to our internal research)
*2 Comparison of reducing sugars between the JRT-A100 and our conventional model JRX-S100 (manufactured in 2025) when cooking 3 cups (Go) on the “White Rice” menu, “Standard” texture setting, and “Medium” heat setting (According to our internal research). Reducing sugar JRT-A100: 186mg / JRX-S100: 156mg (per 100g of dry matter).
