Tiger Corporation (President: Yoshisato Kikuchi, Head Office: Kadoma, Osaka), a world leader in thermal control technology, introduces “How to Properly Care for My Bottle” by the Vacuum Insulated Bottle project manager to help you take care of your bottle before the rainy season when hygiene is a concern. In addition, a campaign to win a straw bottle will be held on Tiger’s official SNS account from today, May 22.

Point 1) Chlorine bleach is not recommended.
Do not use chlorine bleach as it may cause rust or holes.Oxygen bleach can be used to clean the inside of the main unit, but do not use it on the outside as it may cause the paint to peel off. (*)
Tea stains and coffee stains are caused by tannin and oil components contained in beverages. We recommend using Tiger Cleaning Agent for Vacuum Insulated Bottles (https://www.tiger-corporation.com/ja/jpn/product/vacuum-insulated-products/taa-b 100/), which is easy to clean and sanitizes bottles simply by adding hot water.
*Please check the instruction manual carefully for the use of oxygen bleach.
Point 2) Citric acid for “rusty red spots” and “roughness
These are due to mineral components (calcium, magnesium, iron, etc.) in the water. We recommend the use of citric acid, which is available at supermarkets and pharmacies, for cleaning.
[How to clean with citric acid]
(1) Dilute citric acid (approx. 10 g) with warm water and put it in the body.
(2) After 2 to 3 hours, wash the machine with a soft brush and rinse it thoroughly with water.
(3) Dry thoroughly.
Point 3) Clean up immediately after filling with sports drink!
Since sports drinks contain salt, which may corrode the stainless steel, please clean it immediately after use.
Even if you are away from home and cannot take sufficient care of the product, rinse the inside of the main unit with water immediately.
*Some metal water bottles are not compatible with sports drinks, so please check your instruction manual carefully. Tiger bottles with a smooth, shiny inner surface Super Clean (Plus) finish on stainless steel are stain- and odor-resistant, rust-resistant, and sports drink OK.
