To Promote Bring Your Own Bottle to Soccer Games to Reduce Plastic Waste at Soccer Matches

Tiger Corporation (President: Yoshisato Kikuchi, Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka), a world leader in thermal control technology, has concluded an SDG partnership with INAC KOBE Leonessa, a women’s professional soccer club based in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture (operated by INAC Football Club Co., Ltd.). The partnership is aimed at environmental conservation at soccer matches. This is the first SDGs partnership with INAC KOBE Leonessa, which aims at environmental conservation at soccer matches.

One of the issues faced by customers when watching sports games is that their drinks become lukewarm during the game, while another issue faced by the management is the large amount of trash that is generated after the game.

In January 2022, we launched a vacuum-insulated Carbonated Bottle that can hold carbonated beverages such as cider and beer, and we received many comments such as “I want to take this to sports games because I can fill it with my favorite drink” and “I can enjoy carbonated drinks while they are cold, making it a perfect companion for watching sports games. We have also received many comments such as “I would like to use it to fill up my favorite drink so I can enjoy it at sports games.

We took note of these customer comments and believed that the Tiger Bottle would solve the problems of watching sports games and make them richer and more comfortable. We have therefore teamed up with INAC KOBE Leonessa, which has always been challenging new things with the aim of furthering the women’s soccer world and has endorsed our sustainable action initiatives, to encourage people to bring their own bottles to soccer matches.

The Tiger Bottle is not only a tool for rehydration, but also a tool to enrich the time spent in contact with sports, and by focusing on issues that arise when watching sports, we aim to provide new value to the world.

*When using the bottle with alcohol, please use it in compliance with the laws and regulations of your country or region.

Collection of used stainless steel bottles at Noevir Stadium Kobe

INAC KOBE Leonessa will participate in Tiger Corporation’s own initiative to collect and recycle used stainless steel bottles as an official partner, and collection boxes will be placed inside Noevir Stadium Kobe on INAC KOBE Leonessa game days from April 29 (Saturday, national holiday).

Recycling model of used stainless-steel bottles (stainless-steel and resin materials)

The stainless-steel bottles no longer needed at home are collected at schools, companies, and city offices and gathered at a professional recycler. From the gathered raw materials to be recycled, recycled stainless-steel materials and resin products are produced. We are establishing a recycling model whereby the recycled stainless-steel materials are used to manufacture new products and delivered to customers again and the recycled resins are used in our production factories.

We aim to achieve a circular economy (recycling-oriented economy) that can reduce environmental load and achieve sustainable economic growth through the recycling of resources instead of consuming and disposing of goods.

*Note for collection: Plastic/aluminum bottles or pouches supplied with stainless-steel bottles are not accepted for collection. Bring the bottles with the lids to the collection sites after thoroughly cleaning and draining them.

*Not all the products using the recycled stainless-steel materials are stainless-steel bottles.

1. No conflict minerals

Tiger Corporation manages won’t use conflict minerals.

*Conflict minerals: Tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold mined from the Democratic Republic of Congo and nine surrounding countries.

2. NO fluorine

Our all vacuum insulated bottles use a different technology to achieve the same level of stain resistance without using environmentally harmful fluorine coating. The coating does not peel off, meaning that the bottles can be used for many years.

3. YES our own factories

In order to protect the health of our customers and ensure quality, we manufacture around eight million vacuum insulated bottles (*) at our own production facilities, even if doing so increases costs.

4.No plastic wast

Approximately 580 billion plastic bottles (*) are consumed annually worldwide.
