Taking the opportunity of making our IoT pressure IH rice cooker “炊きたて” JPA-X100 support Amazon Alexa, we are making the reorder service available to users.
The pressure IH rice cooker “炊きたて” JPA-X100 interfacing with the TIGER HOME app was developed as an IoT rice cooker to evolve the deliciousness of cooked rice according to features only available for the year/season and your own preferences. The rice cooker is equipped with features including: (1) rice brand-specific cooking or New Rice Homare-Daki to customize the way of cooking rice depending on the brand of rice harvested in the year, (2) Rice Delivery including services to notify you of the remaining amount of rice through the app and allowing rice to be ordered/reordered at each store online by linking up with Amazon services, (3) a monitoring function to monitor the usage of the rice cooker by a family member who lives away from you, and (4) Rice Brand Sommelier that allows you to find a brand of rice that suits your preferences. It has been enjoying great popularity as a rice cooker that makes the rice cooking experience more convenient and fulfilling.
The Amazon Alexa smart reorder registration campaign offers a discount of up to 3,000 yen (in each period) for an initial order to be placed by a person who transfers registration from Amazon Dash Replenishment, the Amazon reorder service for consumer goods, to the automatic reorder function for consumer goods, Smart Reorder, which is one of the Amazon Alexa services, or a person who registers for the service in the applicable period. This campaign will apply to the Tiger IoT pressure IH rice cooker “炊きたて” JPA-X100, so that anyone can economically try the shopping style best suited to someone who has experienced running out of rice when needed or has no time to go shopping.

The IoT function incorporated to evolve deliciousness and give more convenience
By incorporating IoT functions into the rice cooker, we intend to make the rice cooking experience more convenient and fulfilling and provide evolving deliciousness depending on the condition of rice and season.
The TIGER HOME app provides rice cooking programs so that the user can download a program suitable for the rice brand or the condition of rice to the IoT rice cooker, and presents topics and handy pieces of information related to rice. On the app, the user can see the rice cooking log to check the calories and electricity cost and a graphically expressed total amount of rice cooked, which changes as the user cooks more rice. With the monitoring function set to on, the user will receive a push notification if rice cooking does not take place for at least three days, which is helpful for the user to watch over a family member who lives away from his/her home. The app also allows the user to check the remaining amount of rice and rice cooking status and can automatically purchase rice through Tiger’s proprietary Rice Delivery service.

The essence of rice cookers is to cook delicious rice. The TIGER HOME app assists you in finding your favorite brand of rice. If you choose your preference from five types of rice classified according to texture and taste (Medium, Springy, Light, Soft, and Firm) and then a brand of rice from the list displayed, the characteristics of the rice and detailed chart are shown. You can enjoy finding your favorite brand of rice. You can also rate the brand of rice that you ate with a five-star rating scale.
