Heated Washer for Automobiles

This system supports winter driving by incorporating a vacuum-insulated container into a Heated Washer that warms the on-board washer fluid.

Development Background – The Challenge of Defrosting Windshields in Winter

When the outside temperature drops below 5°C in winter, frost can form on a car’s windshield, and its removal can be time-consuming.
There’s also a risk of refreezing if you use hot water to try and melt the frost quickly.
The Heated Washer, co-developed with Murakami Kaimeido Co., Ltd., solves these defrosting problems and significantly reduces the time it takes to
start driving safely.

Solution to the Challenges – Insulating Washer Fluid with a Vacuum-Insulated Container

The Heated Washer device, which contains a vacuum-insulated container and a heater, is installed between the washer fluid tank and the washer nozzles.
This device heats the washer fluid to a set temperature, and the heater automatically turns off once the target temperature is reached.
As the fluid is used, the washer tank resupplies it, and it is reheated and kept warm during driving.
This allows the system to spray warm washer fluid that effectively clears away frost. (Our company supplies the vacuum-insulated container for this system.)

Product Features – Benefits of the Heated Washer

The Heated Washer can maintain the temperature required for defrosting for approximately 12 hours by using its thermos structure to insulate
the fluid warmed from the previous day’s drive. This allows you to quickly remove frost from your windshield when you start your car the next morning.
The system is currently installed as a genuine accessory by a domestic automobile manufacturer, demonstrating its reliability and proven track record.

*The time required for frost removal may vary depending on weather and vehicle conditions.
