What is tacook and what can I do with it?

Tiger’s exclusive “tacook” plate is included with certain models available in the U.S and Canadian market. This BPA-free plate along with the synchronized cooking function allows you to prepare two dishes simultaneously, saving time and energy. No stove or oven is needed, making it safe and energy efficient.
How is it different from other steam baskets?

Our tacook plate can act as a steam basket to steam vegetables, but you can also cook flavored dishes, while cooking rice. What’s the difference? Our tacook plate is designed with holes on the outer rims, allowing the steam to enter, but no solids or liquids to escape. That means no dripping on the rice that is being cooked below.
How to use the tacook plate and Synchro-Cooking menu

The cooking plate is specially designed so the flavors from the cooking plate do not affect the flavor or texture of the rice.
- Set the washed white rice and water in the inner pot
- Set the ingredients for the side dish in the tacook plate and place on top of inner pot
- Press the “Syncrho-cooking” menu and let it do the rest.
Side dishes and rice finish cooking simultaneously!
※ (Simultaneous cooking is limited to the “White Rice” menu: 0.5-1 cup for 3-cup cookers, 1-2 cups for 5.5-cup cookers, and 2-4 cups for 10-cup cookers.)
