THE EASIEST HARD BOILED EGGS RECIPE EVER

It’s a question as old as cooking itself: how long to boil eggs?

Too long, and your yolks will be chalky and tough. Too short and the egg white will be a gloppy mess.

Hey, the last thing we want to do early in the morning before our second cup of coffee is handle a pot of boiling water while simultaneously performing math equations in our head!

Well, when making these rice cooker boiled eggs, you can pretty much set it and forget it with your Tiger multifunctional rice cooker.

Now, this recipe is for hard boiled eggs. That means your yolk will be set and firm – and your egg white will be springy. Perfect if you’re hungry for something simple like boiled eggs dipped in a little salt and pepper – or something a bit more complex like savory, spiced Chinese tea eggs.

And we’re huge fans of using this steamed hard boiled eggs technique for whipping up picnic favorites like deviled eggs and egg salad sandwiches.

What’s your favorite hard boiled eggs recipe? Use this technique whenever you need boiled eggs in a flash!

HOW TO MAKE BOILED EGGS IN A RICE COOKER

Now, it is really as easy as placing your uncooked eggs into the inner pot of your multifunctional rice cooker with just enough water to cover them.

But we have a secret: add ½ teaspoon of baking soda to the water before closing the lid. You see, baking soda is alkaline – and it helps to loosen the bond between the egg white and the shell when cooking. This makes the eggs easier to peel after cooking.

Use the Slow Cook setting for 10 minutes. Once the timer sounds off, rinse your rice cooker boiled eggs under cold water to stop the cooking process. And that’s it!
