Environmental Policy
Under our corporate philosophy, “To share heartwarming DANRAN around the world,” Tiger Corporation is committed to the following activities to contribute to global environmental conservation and the realization of a sustainable society. This commitment applies to all business operations—from product planning to sales and after-sales service—for Vacuum Insulated Bottles and electric cooking appliances, including Rice Cookers, Electric Kettles, Electric Water Boilers & Warmers, Coffee Makers, and Blenders.
1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations and Reduction of Environmental Risks
Placing sincerity toward society at the heart of all our activities, we will comply with environmental laws, regulations, ordinances, and other requirements to which we subscribe. Furthermore, by accurately assessing the environmental risks associated with our business operations and implementing pollution prevention and environmental impact reduction measures, we embody the “uncompromising reliability based on absolute sincerity” that we have valued since our founding.
2. Continuous Improvement of Environmental Management
Based on our environmental policy, we will assess the environmental impact of our business activities, products, and services, and promote environmental conservation efforts with a perspective of “creating the future by looking ahead to the next 100 years.” We will also regularly review our activities and strive for continuous improvement.
3. Reducing Environmental Impact and Contributing to Society Through Original Technology
Centered on “heartwarming ideas” that stay close to the lifestyles of tomorrow, we will balance everyday convenience with environmental conservation, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through the following key themes:
- Climate Change Countermeasures and Promotion of Energy Conservation
We will promote resource and energy-saving activities at our production sites and offices. Additionally, we will strive to reduce CO2 emissions by improving energy efficiency through the utilization of renewable energy and the introduction of highly efficient equipment. - Contribution to Society Through Technology
We will further develop our core “vacuum insulation technology,” cultivated since our founding, to widely provide products with advanced hot and cold retention performance that do not require energy. Guided by our manufacturing spirit of “profound originality that captures the true essence,” we will encourage reductions in power consumption and disposable plastic waste in our customers’ daily lives, spreading a “new sustainable standard” from the dining table to everyday life. - Promotion of Resource Circulation
To ensure our products are loved for a long time and continue to support daily DANRAN, we will pursue extended product lifespans. We will also contribute to the formation of a circular economy by promoting waste reduction, refurbishment of products, reuse, and recycling.
4. Collaboration with the Supply Chain and Appropriate Management
Based on our green procurement standards, we will promote environmental conservation activities in collaboration with our business partners. Particularly regarding chemical substances contained in our products, we will ensure thorough information sharing and appropriate management throughout the entire supply chain, striving to provide safe and reliable products and fulfill our social responsibilities.

Environmental Data
Aiming to realize a sustainable society, we are advancing various initiatives centered on energy conservation and recycling to reduce our environmental footprint.
CO2 Emissions and Power Consumption
Scope 1 CO2 emissions from our domestic sites and overseas factories are on a downward trend, decreasing from 366 t-CO2 in FY2023 to 336 t-CO2 in FY2025.

Although power consumption and CO2 emissions at our domestic sites are decreasing, recent overall figures have increased. This is partly due to the relocation of our factory in China and a higher emission factor affecting our overseas factories.

Waste Generation and Recycling Rate
While total waste generation has increased, we are simultaneously ramping up waste sorting at our factories and the collection of end-of-life products. Consequently, our domestic recycling rate has improved from approximately 91.4% in FY2022 to 93.1% in FY2024.

Moving forward, we will explore expanding the adoption of renewable energy as we strive to further reduce our environmental footprint.
Initiatives to Reduce Our Environmental Footprint
To contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society, we are systematically advancing capital investments aimed at reducing our environmental footprint through both energy conservation and energy generation.
Business Operations

Introduction of LED Lighting
To reduce power consumption and CO₂ emissions, we are transitioning our lighting facilities to LEDs. Installation has been completed at our head office building and Vietnam factory, and we are progressively expanding the implementation areas.

Installation of Solar Panels
To promote the use of renewable energy, we have installed solar panels on our rooftop spaces to generate electricity. In Japan, they are installed at our head office building and quality control building, and overseas, at our factory in China. This allows us to cover a portion of the electricity consumed in our business operations with natural energy. Looking ahead, we plan to expand this initiative to other locations to further improve our energy self-sufficiency rate.
Recycling Initiatives
We have established optimized recycling routes for each type of material.

Cardboard Recycling
We collect cardboard discarded from our factories and offices, have it compressed at specialized external facilities, and supply it to paper manufacturers. We have established a stable resource recovery route where it is reborn as new cardboard.

Energy Utilization from Waste Plastic
We sort and crush waste plastics based on their material and condition, effectively utilizing them as Refuse Paper and Plastic Fuel (RPF) or as thermal energy during incineration.

Sorting and Processing of Mixed Waste
We meticulously sort waste containing multiple materials by type, channeling them into thermal or material recycling.

Recycling of Prototypes
We crush, separate, and sort products manufactured as prototypes to recover resources such as iron, copper, aluminum, and resin.
Products and Services
Through the application of our core technologies cultivated over many years and the creation of resource circulation systems, we are committed to reducing environmental impact and realizing a sustainable society. Here are key examples of our products and services, ranging from contributions to industrial fields to the effective use of resources in everyday life.

Technological Applications in Industrial Fields
We apply our core vacuum insulation technology to industrial fields such as housing and transportation. By providing the high-performance vacuum insulation panel “TIVIP,” we support temperature-controlled transportation in logistics and enhance the insulation performance of buildings, contributing to the reduction of energy consumption across society.

Collection of Used Stainless Steel Bottles
We are promoting an initiative to collect and recycle unneeded stainless steel bottles from households, regardless of the manufacturer. By circulating the collected metals and plastics as resources, we are working to reduce waste and build a circular economy.

10-Year Retention of Performance Parts for Repair
Using a single product for a long time leads to waste reduction. To ensure our customers can continue to use our products with peace of mind, we maintain a robust repair system by keeping performance parts for repair (parts necessary for repairs) for 10 years* after the discontinuation of production.
*Excluding some products.

Effective use of resources(Tiger Refurbished)
Based on our strict standards, we inspect, clean, and replace consumables for products returned to us for various reasons, reselling them as “refurbished products.” This is an initiative to effectively utilize functional products without discarding them.

Disaster prevention and environmental considerations(Tiger Kamado)
The Tiger Kamado is a rice cooker with a low environmental impact that repurposes old newspapers as fuel, without using electricity or gas. By converting everyday waste into energy, it contributes to resource circulation. Furthermore, it is a product that seamlessly combines environmental contribution with disaster preparedness—useful for everything from daily leisure activities to emergencies when utility lifelines are cut off.
