WHAT IS A CHAI LATTE?

A chai latte (or masala chai) is a mixed spice tea typically made by infusing black tea with a varied mixture of warming spices. Those spices can include anything from cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, star anise and peppercorns to name a few. When mixed with milk, sugar and tea, the resulting beverage is a wonderful mash up of sweet, fragrant, creamy perfection.

And while it originated on the Indian subcontinent, it has become a super popular drink in coffee shops and tea houses the world over.

But just because it tastes complex on the tongue doesn’t mean you can’t make your daily chai latte at home super easily – and save a bundle of money in the process!

HOW TO MAKE CHAI TEA LATTE

To make your chai tea latte at home, simply get your water, black tea bags and spices boiling in a pot for about 7 minutes or so. Mix in your sugar – and then strain the entire mixture so you’re just left with the liquid.

We like to add soy milk or almond milk to our chai to keep it 100% vegan. But feel free to use your favorite dairy as well.

It’s so easy to make – but sure doesn’t taste that way!

HOW TO KEEP YOUR CHAI LATTE HOT ALL MORNING

Your Tiger vacuum insulated stainless steel bottle can easily keep your beverages hot or cold for 6+ hours. So whether you’re making this spiced chai latte in the fall – or this summery citrus spritzer, you can take it to the office or school secure that it’ll still be the temperature you originally poured it in hours later!

Cheers!
